It. Was. Perfect.
Just when I thought it couldn’t get better, Colleen Hoover comes and just knocks it out of the park! Colleen Hoover can do no wrong in my book. I've read and loved each and every single one of her books and they were all brilliant, and Losing Hope was no exception. Hopeless was one of my favorite books of 2012 and reading the story again from Holder's POV made me exactly remember why.
This is Holder's story. You need to understand just how much I mean those words. This is HIS story. This isn't just Hopeless from Holder's POV, this is his story during Hopeless, his story before Hopeless, and his story apart from Hopeless. Okay, I will not explain the story behind this book because it’s almost the same as in the first book with a few additions here and there. But we get to see/read about two new characters, Les and Daniel.Well Les is not really new but we get to know her a little better here.
I will only say that this was already an amazing story under Hope/Sky’s POV and it was even a greater one under Holder’s. Oh, how I love his mind and the fact that he never actually loses hope.Although this book was sadder than the first with the entire Les story and the letters, it was also better and had the addition of some great characters.
Finally,I was positive that Ms. Hoover would NOT make me cry in this book like she did in Hopeless.I was so wrong. When I read Lesslie's letter to her brother it made me tear up. Big time.
If you liked the first, you really can’t miss this one so if you haven’t read it yet.
I advise you to do it fast.
