Where to even begin with a review on a story like this...
Let me start off by saying that this was not an easy story to read. I do want to say, however, that Stolen was not what I expected. When I went into it, I was almost expecting an eventual romance, but there is none and I'm glad there isn't. Stolen is a novel of abduction, but it is also a novel of hope and faith and beauty. I only really fell in love with Stolen seven pages from the end; until then, I was on the fence ready to bolt if necessary.

The story starts with Gemma sitting at a coffee shop in the Bangkok airport checking out an apparently random but seemingly familiar guy. Little did she know that this guy knew her better than any other living person in the world.They strike up a conversation and the next thing she knows she's drugged, kidnapped and brought to the middle of nowhere.Stolen is written as a letter from the kidnapped young girl, Gemma, to the man who took her from her family and the life she knew, Ty.

It's like having the devil and angel on your shoulder! So, yes, he kidnapped her. But he also loved her passionately. He knew he was going to go to prison, but he chose to stay by her side and save her life. That's what I loved about him the most. The fact that he ran miles to save her life.

Ugh, I'm getting conflicted again.

The way the author has written it, the story seems much more realistic than many other captivity stories I've read so far.Again, I can't really express my feelings about this book, but it was definitely one of  the most intense book I've ever read. I couldn't put it down so thanks Yashika for recommending this book to me.

Legend by Marie Lu has officially become a legend in my mind. From the very first page I was drawn into this story. The opening sentence is "My mother thinks I'm dead." Right away I was pulled into this story of Day and his quest to heal his family from the plague. A few chapters and there was no going back.

Day,the republic's most wanted criminal, has lived a rough life growing up in the slums, and he risks his life every day to make sure his family has enough food and the other necessities needed to survive. It would be easy to become a cruel and uncaring criminal, but Day never loses his kindness and compassion. June, the Republic's greatest prodigy, has grown up in a rich district to an elite family. While she is loyal to the military and the government, her older brother Metias is the one she would do anything for. Because of their different upbringings, June doesn't have the same experiences and views of the world as Day. June isn't lacking compassion, but she is naive and ends up placing her trust with people she has always believed in, never excepting the cruelty they are capable of. They never had a reason to cross paths until the day Metias is found dead and the blame is put on Day.

The book had a nice balance of action and development and even a bit romance. I was never underwhelmed by the story. The action had me on the edge of my seat. In most books with dual points of views, I always like one of them better. I skim through the part that I didn't like until I came to the section of the character that I like. In Legend, I gobbled up every word of both points of view and loved every minute of it. I recommended it to those who love action packed dystopias, but aren't too picky about plot or characters.

I was so glad to get back to reading a new book in one of my the favorite series EVER! I absolutely LOVED it!
Gwen Frost is back and still fighting the good fight. She's been through hell --and is still recovering from near-death at the hands of her boyfriend. It's not easy. She can't sleep without having nightmares; she can't walk around without people staring and whispering. But she won't curl up and quit.
When one of the Reapers poisons her boss at the library, there's no doubt the search for a cure will lead to a trap.This book has very much of a questing feel to it; the characters must basically journey to the antidote location while dodging traps, acquire the antidote and then journey back. It’s a very simple plot and very predictable. If it’s the “worst and most dangerous course to take” Gwen takes that path immediately...as I said that makes thing predictable.
In this book Gwen is treated a lot better than in previous books, because of her actions in the last book she has risen to more of a celebrity type status. We learn more about Gwen’s dad in this book and the true story behind how he was killed. It adds a bit of depth to Gwen.Although the part of the book that is a bit frustrating is that in every book Gwen faces off with Vivian and Agora, and every book the baddies escape Gwen by a hair. This happens multiple times a book and I am beginning to think that our heroes will never get it together enough to actually face off and defeat Loki.
I look forward for the 6th installment in this series that has quickly become one of my top 10 favorites of all time.

Well, guess what - "I'm not cryyyyying! It's just been raining on my face..." This book was amazing and terrible and heart wrenching and hilarious. It was everything at once, making it that much more beautiful and difficult to read. Just thinking of the words "lit up like a Christmas tree" bring waves of emotions over me.This book is about love, friendship, fight, hope and life. And about infinites.

Hazel is a 16 year old girl with stage IV thyroid cancer, and has been living with an oxygen tank since she was first diagnosed at 12. She realizes she is going to die, but she is on a drug that is keeping the tumors at bay. At a support group meeting she meets hottie Augustus Waters, who is in remission. They immediately hit it off and change each others lives drastically.

I just loved how the author made me laugh so much. I mean, I was reading a book about kids with cancer, I wasn’t supposed to be laughing but I did. I did because those damn characters camped in my heart and they are planning to stay there forever.This is probably one of the best and most real love stories I’ve ever read in my entire life. I will never EVER forget this book.I would just like to say that you have to go out and buy this book right now. Don't even bother borrowing it from a library, because you're going to want to reread it at least thrice also keep a box of tissues with you while reading it will be a great help to you.

The book was a slow start to something even better, by the end of the book I was heavily anticipating the next novel, Betrayals.

The book is about Dru, whose father is a hunter of sorts - except he hunts otherworldly beings in the Real World. Dru is pretty confident about her living situation until a zombie infiltrates her house and attacks her. Now Dru not only has to survive until she can find help against the deadly forces trying to kill her but also find out why they want her dead so badly.

The issue with the story is that some things are so over described that alot of times I wanted to throw my kindle(but well I can't really do that) While I liked the story, I didn't really get into it until the last third of the book when Christophe was introduced. Not that he was my favorite character - I just felt the story really came alive in the last part.

That is the BEST last line I have read in a while. I have been a fan of Maggie Stiefvater for years now. I read the Books of Faerie, The Wolves of Mercy Falls, and The Scorpio Races and they all have been totally awesome and different. So I was thinking what new could she put in this book? and the answer was...
Blue Sargent has grown up in a household of psychic women, who have always told her that she will cause her true love to die. Once a year, she and her mother go to a churchyard to communicate with the soon-to-be-dead. Blue doesn't have the same clairvoyance her mother has, yet she sees the spirit of a boy named Gansey. The bad news:
“There are only two reasons a non-seer would see a spirit on St. Mark’s Eve. ... Either you’re his true love . . . or you killed him.”
Uh-oh.
As usual, M.Stiefvater creates a rich atmosphere in her story, full of mystery and intrigue. Her writing is gorgeous and creates clear mental images. Also, I was ecstatic that she wrote this book in the third person. Before this, a majority of her books were written in multiple first-person perspectives.So anyway, I was very impressed and can't wait for the sequels.

I am very sleep deprived, having been up all night reading this book but I must say this book was just as intense and emotional for me as the first.  
                                               
The sequel picks up months after Emma's attack from the Evil Bitch from hell "aka" Carol, and Emma has now made the decision to live with her mother Rachel and start over. Emma soon realizes this will not be easy as her mother is still an alcoholic who likes to get in a drunken stupor and bring home random guys from bars. Emma begins to hide things(again) from her bestie Sara and her sweet, handsome and caring boyfriend Evan. But neither is a fool.While Emma struggles with her existence/reason for breathing she still has to take care of her drunk mommy, school,sports and her sanity. Her sanity which is wearing thin thanks to Rachel and her drunk hurtful comments that she can never recall once sober. 
The last 25% of this book has twist and turns i could have never predicted and the ending was a TOTAL SHOCKER. I cannot wait for book 3 this ending was not the one i wanted.

 I actually loved this book. More than the first one anyway.Now that I had an idea what was actually going on, I started to suspect a lot of things , but I don't think I could have guessed the end. I was close but i didn't see THAT coming in the end.Mara in this book, was let's just say, funny and in a way messed up as she was in the last book.
 If you thought Mara's life in the first book was mind-wracking, confusing, and weird, then her life in the second book just got a whole lot crazier.There is her, believed to be dead, ex stalking her, crazy dolls appearing everywhere, nervous and paranoid parents, some kind of crazy dream haunting and a bunch of other voodoo-istic/creeptastic events transpiring in her life which she seems to have lost control over.
Overall, the plot-line was crazy, twisted, unexpected, and a hell of a marvelous ride. Pieces of information were thrown at you one after another and sometimes, even though it was hard to keep up with, Miss Hodkin made it possible. A word of warning: The cliffhanger is even worse than The Unbecoming so be ready .

This book was a whole new level of disappointing. I am seriously hurt this series was one of my absolute favorites......until this book was released.The only good this book was the guys and how the different POVs were written.Normally I would agree that Rebecca Donovan is an exceptional writer who basically holds all your emotions in the palm of her hands while you are reading her books. Perhaps, too much expectation went into this book because of the high standard we are accustomed to from her.
It has been two years since Emma left Evan and went off to college but she is not the girl she used to be. She is just a shell of her previous self . Emma isn’t living, she is just Breathing. With the help of her roommates, Emma is forced into doing things and trying to bring some excitement into her life.This is how Emma meets Cole.(I will not elaborate but felt really sorry for Cole throughout the book) When Emma gets the call that her mother killed herself she is forced to go to her home town that she ran away from, which eventually leads to breaking her down even more. Memories of what happened eat at Emma alive and she wants to numb the pain…with alcohol? yes alcohol. Enter Evan......... and the rest you will have to read yourself.
Emma was frustrating at times, so much that I wanted to scream at her or shake her out of it.Who was this IMPOSTER and what had she done with the EMMA we knew???The story felt Unfinished .I blinked, literally and it was over????!!!!
